Hey guys! Happy Monday and all that good stuff. I would say my day was fantastic but it was a hot mess that deserves its own post, so let’s recap the weekend, shall we?

Friday
My Friday was super busy yet super productive. I REALLY didn’t feel like working out but I decided to push through and do it anyway and I’m glad I did. I got in a great walk at the park and felt so energized afterwards.

Good thing I jumped straight into the shower when I got home because little did I know, I was going to be heading right back out the door. My parents called me when I got home from working out and asked if I wanted to go to lunch at our favorite Hawaiian bbq spot. Uh, duh! Of course I want to go!

We had a great time at lunch. My youngest brother even joined us. I took my laptop with me since I was working that day but I managed to have a good time and work at the same time. Not bad for multi-tasking, eh?

My silly parents
Friday evening went slightly downhill when I discovered that a Facebook ad I was working on for a client wasn’t approved and in fact, shut down my entire ad manager account. *face palm and shakes fist at sky* I spent the rest of the evening trying to fix that and submit a ticket to Facebook while watching “Birth of a Nation” with my husband. Have you seen that movie? It was so intense but isn't all of history?

Saturday
This one was my favorite and had a basement.
I guess we were all worn out from the week because everyone slept in until almost 10am. My little one woke up at 4am (!) for some milk and went back to sleep. I managed to roll out of bed about 9 when he smacked me in the face so it was time to get up. I wrote out an entire to-do list of errands only to get sidetracked when we found out that my in-laws were in town for an impromptu visit.

They are relocating here so we were helping them find an apartment or house to rent for the next year. By the time we looked up, it was evening and the day was over. I did manage to discover a few new houses for sale in my subdivision and fell in love with this one because of the basement. Le sigh. We aren’t buying a new house for least 3 years so I can let that go for now.

Sunday
Sunday was a relaxing day. We all slept in and I even managed to cook breakfast. My oldest kiddo had swim practice at 1 so I didn’t plan for much during the day. Hubby wanted to check out the new Planet of the Apes movie so we headed there after swim practice. How amazing is the instructors farm where the swim center is located? Crazy right?

Another successful swim practice with my little fish

The swim center

The owner owns this amazing farm that that center is located at.

Check out all that land.

Other than that, my weekend was spent rearranging plans and not getting much done but sometimes those are the best ones, right?
