I love good toothpaste, but more importantly, I love a good whitening toothpaste. I saw a commercial for Crest Pro-Health HD and decided to give it a try.

This is a two step program. The first step is the purifying cleanser, which is designed to deep cleanse your teeth in preparation of the whitening process. I highly recommend using a rotating toothbrush with this. It definitely cleanses the teeth, but you want to make sure you get all of them and along the gum line. I have very sensitive teeth and I've found this not to be too harsh on it.

Once you've brushed with Step 1 for 1 minute, you spit (don't rinse) and apply the whitening gel to the toothbrush for another 1 minute brush. I was expecting this to have a paste-y consistency, but it is indeed gel-like. I also noticed that it seemed to dry my mouth out a bit too. When you're done with this, you spit and rinse like normal.

The packaging advertises that you will notice whitening in 1 week and I have to admit, my teeth do seem slightly whiter. I'm sure with extended use this will increase but it seems to be working for the most part. I'm going to add the Pro-Health mouthwash to this to see how much it adds to improved whiter teeth.

I'll post another review in a few weeks and we'll see where things are.
