Hey there! Happy Monday! Albeit, this post comes during the
latter part of the day, but at least it comes. So what’s new? How was your
weekend? Let’s discuss what I did…
Friday
Friday was a busy day for me. I’m telling you, there’s
something about Fridays feeling like Mondays. I spent most of the day
responding to client emails and knocking out work for them since I had an
exciting evening planned. My dad teaches at a local high school and invited me,
the kids, my sister-in-law and nephew out to their game. If you follow me onFacebook, you saw my “Friday Night Lights” photos. We had such a good time!
They recently moved here from Mississippi and we got out for some good ol’ high
school football. The boys even got to go up to the skybox during the game for
some prime viewing. Of course, my nephew refused to go home and spent the night
at our house since we had an early day of exploring planned.
Saturday
Since my in-laws are new to the area, I decided to take my
sis-in-law on a tour of the area so that she could get acclimated. We visited a
local shopping center that’s pretty much the equivalent of an outdoor mall. Y’all,
it was their first trip to Target! You know, I sometimes forget that small-town
living doesn’t include Target LOL Anyway, she loved it! When my mother-in-law
and father-in-law come this weekend, she wants me to take her to Target too so
off we’ll go!
After that quick trip, we ended up doing an impromptu mom’s
night out with my friend, Angela. We ended up at The Cheesecake Factory,
another place on her wish list, and had a blast. Naturally we ordered WAY too
much food but it was all so freaking good that we had to walk around CumberlandMall to walk some of it off. After we finally had enough of the mall, we rolled
back home where we all passed out later.

Sunday
Sunday was an absolute lazy day for me. I spent the whole
day cooking and grilling. With summer coming to a close, it felt only natural
to fire up the grill for one last burn before the cold weather rolls in next
month. I’m so glad I did because I threw down! Jerk chicken, bbq chicken, squash
and onions, grilled salmon, grilled asparagus, deviled eggs, pasta salad. I
literally cooked everything I had in the fridge so that I don’t have to cook
the rest of the week! All healthy, of course.

Sunday evening was spent lounging around with Hubby as we
finally finished the Netflix series, Ozarks. Have you seen it? It’s so good! Review
coming soon.
Other than that, it was a great weekend had by all!
