Product Review: Dove Tip to Toe Baby Wash

My sorority sister, Sandrina, posted a message about Dove's new baby line and of course I had to try it out for my little guys. I use Dove regularly on my whole family. Both my boys and my husband suffer from eczema so it has taken me a while to find the right products to use on their skin. When it comes to soap, Dove is the way we always go.

I picked up a bottle of the Dove Tip to Toe Baby Wash at my local Kroger for $5.99. The price is a little steeper than what I'm used to buying but it's Dove so I support them.

My bottle of Dove tip to toe wash
The first thing I liked about this product was how silky and creamy the wash itself was. It's very much silky and comes out of the bottle smooth. One pump gives you just enough to work with. It doesn't lather as heavily as soap but it gets the job done.

One pump = size of a quarter

I immediately noticed that it did not have the same scent as regular Dove soap bars do. Perhaps it's because its a baby product but I was expecting that "Dove" scent that I love. It was a little disappointing not to have that.

The product did not feel as though as stripped my kids skin but it wasn't as moisturized as I expected. Again, this is a cleanser so isn't going to be super hydrated like lotion.

All in all, I think the product is good - not great - but good. I think I alternate between the wash and the regular bar soap in the meantime.
